Johnny Hardcastle and crew did a fine job hosting the LABS 2007. The food was great especially the jambalaya. Joe Day did a great job with his program on organizing bonsai, bonsai spaces and getting objects to do this for free.
Guy Guidry and his humorous self styled a 400 year old pond cypress into a weeping style cypress that came out very nice.
Howard Merrill won the 2nd annual Vaughn Banting Award. Howard is a member of the Louisiana Bonsai Society and the Greater New Orleans Bonsai Society and is a past member of BCI board of directors.
